Gotta love tonight!! i must say i really miss us being housemates at PJS7 so so much, even if it was just 6 months. I miss long girl talks like these i used to get so often. Sometimes it makes it feel as if our world is so blended together. mutual friends, fashion taste, memories, values, sense of humor, and the same BIG GOD we love. I am really grateful for that. :]

oh and i sent the best friend off this morning. never easy to say goodbye. now i can't wait to see her in 6 months!! :]

Alright, i had the best night! Met up with Kay together with Rach. I love how we always find so much to talk about as much as we don't really get to meet often. :) I like how Simplicious is so spacious. Created such an atmosphere for my heart and my head to break free into dancing the macarena. ok my fingers totally typed that. Best place for looong girl talks!

Slept away half of today because i was an owl last night. soooo i woke up just in time for lunch. Bro was gonna leave so dad wanted to treat him extra nice. But sadly there were no cod fishes today. :( We had amazing tofu instead! oh well. I miss my brother. The house is so much quieter now. Oh, and his hair dryer. I miss it too.

So Nick's married.

The guy who once chased with me his wet and muddy socks is married. I was glad to have some time with them this time around. They are such an interesting and fun couple, and i've got to say, definitely perfect for each other. Really love the fact they have God in the picture, and i'm sure that definitely played a big role in bringing them to where they are today. Besides, being incredibly determine and passionate people.

Its so natural for a girl to dream about her wedding day, and i guess, their marriage is definitely one of those i really look up to. Simple, but significant. :)

First time actually buying a FORMAL dress for myself, and first time getting a RM60 discount all by myself.

GONG XI FA CAI PEOPLE!

Probably late, but Happy Chinese New Year anyway. Well, i was really excited the night before Day 1. Family reunions, watching rich people putting off fireworks almost an hour before the clock strikes 12, and didn't stop til almost an hour and a half later. Couldn't bare standing out there watching it as it was just too smoky. i couldn't even see the fireworks 10 feet away. Kuching people are so rich. But yea, staying indoors and hearing what sounded like never-ending gunshots in a war or heavy raindrops from inside didn't make me enjoy it any less. It got me really excited!

Well, happy times! Although the mood died down really early this year. 3rd/4th day only, and people are already back to work. #SONOTKCH. but yea, it was really good meeting up with random ones i haven't seen in ages. Well, whats different this year was that, i brought my camera everywhere. But. i hardly ever take it out. And i regret each time i attempt to blog my CNY post.

So thankful we met! i guess besides shades and SNSD, and the girl who's always wearing a hoodie, i'll always remember you as the one who taught me so much about being a friend(whether you know it or not) and that means- going the extra mile, sacrifices/being selfless. And to me, as much as you hate growing up, you will always be as old as me. Thats cuz you give damn mature advices, kids(i mean those living their TEENAGE DREAM) can't do that.

Shelby's back! Really have been waiting for this time. :) Really happy to see each other and to be able to give each other a hug again. And it was also really good to meet her friends from the other side, and her boyfriend for the first time after 3 years! :)

its amazing how time really flies. i can still remember my first day of school in St. Mary's, how it was so awkward sitting next to her, and right to how we co-operated with her mom to surprise her for her Sweet 16. And now.... the big TWO-ONE. She's a freaking adult now. And i'm so very excited for her!:)

Well tonight i'm feeling really weird despite feeling really happy. I really don't know how to describe this feeling. I guess we are really at this stage where the only thing that stays constant about us is change. Its as if 2 years really made a whole new Marilyn out of me, and a whole new person out of everyone else. Things just seem to happen so fast, before you can even adapt to it, it changes again. Everything just seem so short-termed. I really do miss how things were so expected, so constant, when you knew exactly where you belong, when you understood yourself so well.

Well, I like to believe we are actually going through all this for a reason, and this will soon pass. :)

Then again, a few more years might seem like a really long time, if you actually know how much it can do... . .

only time can tell. :)

So a week went by just like that. I'm back in Kuching. Felt bittersweet leaving this time around, my heart felt as if it was in a middle of a tug of war. Well i'm glad I've got to meet many people up in the midst of all the errands we had to run, and shopping time,

Short but sweet moments, each of them meant a lot to me. I am so grateful for these ones, they've really taught me how to grow up, or in other words, how to survive in that crazy city outside kuching.

These guys are so capable of creating a cheerful atmosphere. I love how they somehow always manage to laugh about everything. And then leave you with the echoes of their laughters which can sustain you for many days. :)

something pretty i finally bought for myself :)

today started off like crap. woke up with a sore throat dang early in the morning, ok cha sao fan breakfast in shah alam was good, then went to the city after that with some of em she eps. weather was freaking hot today and the sore throat got a little worst. man it sucks to be sick on a holiday :s i technically sat in time square for half an hour stoning. that was partly because i lost my friends too. yeah it also suck getting lost in a mall. without phone signal. not even fun. Freaks me out even at this age... #sonotdoingthisagain.

felt so much better after saying a short prayer with the girls. just had to do it. and the day really got better...(i started to see things i like :P )Well we ended up with 9 hours of shopping. i can't believe we did that to ourselves. I couldn't even hold up myself by the end of the night. jellyfish for tonight, currently feels as if every fibre in my body is aching. but looking at the shopping bags, it felt so good i wanna do it again.

Tonight i had to pack up my room... tell me how i am supposed to pack 2 and a half years into just one bag without exceeding 15kgs?

Best part of the day was to be reunited with the Sheeps. Ronald is now cell leader, Cissie is 5 months preggers, Rachel Thong has curls, Andrews hair (includes fringe) is almost as long as Rach's hair, Randy is no longer available haha... just look what 5 months did to everybody. SO happy to be seeing them again! :)

Oh how i've missed you, Sunway. So glad to be back, everything in this place very much reminded me of the goodness of God over the past 3 years, the many times God came through for me during the most difficult times of my life. As much as i can't imagine spending my future here, i really thank God I got to spend a little part of life here. He has indeed showed me so much with the little time i have here, what He can do for me, and what i can actually be if i would choose to walk with Him. The little things that happened, that changed a big part of my life.

Well, it does feel a little weird that this place has finally switched roles with Kuching as my holiday home. I guess with time......... :)

Spent my morning with Amy, Crystal, Rach and Wilson and Evan! Had the most amazing kompias after two weeks! Made my day! Later after breakfast we headed to Camp Permai just to chill and some of them spent their time there thinking about their new year resolutions... Had quite a good time catching up with the girls! and yea, Wilson too! Today has been a good day... We finally have Astro at home. 20 and a half years after my existence. Now i feel like a normal kid. KBS KBS KBS!

Totally excited for the new year! I've got my resolutions written after spending the whole morning of new years eve by myself in my brother's empty nest. Finally done reading The Shack! Now i understand why i took such a long time to finish that book. Each time pick up that book, it felt as if i was living in the book. It just somehow relates to whatever i was going through at that point in time. so amazing. :)

Over lunch with Adeline this afternoon, I came to see how much 2011 has taught me... sometimes i still can't believe i made it through. i am definitely not gonna be able to forget this year in a very long long time. :)

Some of the things I'd wanna achieve this year? To keep my eyes on the Lord and to grow even more in Him, To appreciate tough times and challenges/to complain less, to have a bigger heart/to love others, to get at least 5 job briefs, to learn se-pa-nyol;), to get at least 3/5 Ds/HDs, to build myself up, to stay happy. :)

Once again, i just wanna thank my friends and family, and everyone who has stood by me throughout the past year. And to the new people i've met, i'm glad to have met you! Well, its here...really excited for what 2012 has in store for me!!

This pictures brings me to think about all the wonderful things God has blessed me with just over the past year. Christmas is now over, and we're left with this little bit of the year, that will probably speed past us.

I can't stop thanking God for this year. No doubt there were many unexpected challenges, but I really thank God that it was Him who came through for me, and not anything else. So true that if you learn to appreciate the tough times, life can never be THAT hard. Those challenges changed my life, in one way or another.

I'm also grateful for the people God has placed in my life to walk this year with me. The many times I got so close to giving up, i believe it must have been His love who grabbed me and placed me back on track, to believe in trusting Him over and over again. Best thing is, at the end of it, I never trusted in vain. Its not about how long it takes to get out of it, but how much you are willing to learn from it.

I'm glad I came to Him.

Its been such a wonderful Christmas. It has never been so meaningful to me. Hope this is the beginning of a beautiful journey :)

took me about an hour to actually pick my clothes tonight. why/ because i, is fat. i can no longer tuck in my clothes because i now own a tummy. Well i guess I'm going to be serious about doing something about it. Sometimes saying it makes you feel as if you've done it. "i shouldn't eat so much i shouldn't eat so much" but when you see food, ya right like as if you care.

went to meet up with Crys, Mich and Starsky tonight. Kind of a pre-Christmas dinner thing. And also since i haven't seen Crys much as she's been away at camp all weekend. went to see some Christmas decos at Pullman after supper at Fullhouse. First time there, i especially love the wallpaper mangg. and i like the combination of both the patterns and the comics.

So I think I'm really getting used to waking up early already. Had early breakfast with Starsky, Clifford, Yvonne and Abel, also my last breakfast with Abel and Yvonne (for at least quite some months) Had my favorite kompias from Fat Cat again. This time i kept it at 5 just becuz my tummys getting really fat. fo real. \m/

went to yvonne's place in between bfast and lunch. my first time in there. DREAM HOUSE I TELL YOU. anw it was a super grrrrl time. yvonne decorated mich's and my face! was a really new experience for me :) i mean, i've never knew we could do so much with one face, never had so many layers of face. awesummmm. :) kay i wasn't really sure what the guys did besides watching little man while we were busy enhancing our physical appearance but i'm almost sure i remember seeing some cute pics of them in my camera. ;) hmm and then we went around later looking for props for the this sunday's photobooth! mega excited. :)

Had a pre Christmas dinner with the family tonight. really thankful i belong to this family. Wouldn't have it any other way. ♥

10 days to Christmas! i'm really loving the ugly sweaters theme this year. Everyone seem to be wearing one. too bad we can't wear it here cuz 1) you'll probably look really dumb because its frigging hot here during the day 2) it'll probably make you look like you're suffering instead of looking fun and comfortable

i don't know why but i really don't feel ready for Christmas this year. Not feeling the Christmas spirit yet so i don't want it to go by just like that. i mean, its gonna take another year for it to come around again...

Well maybe its all part of Christmas in a tropical country.

Anyway! i'm really enjoying the hols. been spending a lot of time on myself. Egg facial/or whatever you call it, haircut- thinned my hair that seem to be multiplying like abnormal cells and got some layers)), reading, Goguma, heart to heart talks, jogging!

Somehow all these really made me dream a new dream about my future/what i want to be. It excites me and makes me wanna start living an organized life. hahaha i mean, i figured that i can't go on doing nothing about being so confused about myself and what i really want. Life is about to begin, and i have to be ready for it.

I haven't been feeling like this in a long time. Almost forgot how it felt to be so happy or to laugh so much. I feel so home with this bunch of kids. Feel like i'm free to do whatever i want, without having to worry about how i might screw up.

Well Des has been repeating the famous ryan higa's line over and over for almost the whole past four days- "Happiness is a Choice". its so dang true. Its always easier to drown yourself in the bad things that happen around you. but sometimes it really would work out better if you stop crying over it. And start thinking about how you are going to push through all these, even if it takes more effort. Definitely gonna be more worth it.

Anw, we had a theme this trip. We wanted to compile the memories of this trip into a photo book. hehe not sure what you think, but here's our first attempt. truckloads of photos!

my favorite memory of the trip would have to be all the singing. They always say that you'd know if you're comfortable with a person when you can sing together without feeling shy. hahah. Oh and we had lots and lots and lots of snacks/food. had 9 meals in 24 hours.

adrian is sunshine boiii. its like nothing makes him worry/sad/angry. everyone should be like him. it'll probably work well for your face, better than all the facial products.

sad we didn't get to see sunrise. the sun was kinda covered up by the clouds. Well it was only me and Andrea most of the time on the beach because the rest weren't vain enough to put up with the sandflies like we did for one whole hour. But well, wearing tights did save me quite a bit. :)

Andrea whom i only met in January this year. and already survived two close to death experiences with me. She's one of those who thought me so much about friendship and what it means to sacrifice.

Ben's father's hat that probably was never worn this many times before. It got really famous among us. Literally. Lucky to be among the only few props we have for pictures, besides our shades and Andrea's nerd specs. haha

i had the best week. Best times. I still miss the trip every time I watch the videos/ pictures. So many reasons to be happy :)

Today felt a million times better than yesterday. Only good thing that happened yesterday was Goguma. Watched 4 episodes and definitely got inspired again. If i could be anyone in the world, I'd wanna be Seohyun. She's probably the most decent celeb i've ever seen in my entire life. Seriously, people like these are close to extinction.

I kinda enjoyed today in a very busy way. Went around from 9- almost 4 with Lyn and Abby to get stuff printed yawns which also costed me my whole pocket. I better not just get a P. i will... be mad. i really enjoyed the day with the girls. They're really one of those kind of people i have never met. so funny

Today i realize i can't tolerate seeing disabled people work. There was a guy who was working at the printing shop. I thought he was normal until he stood up and walk. I don't know, there was just something that made him walk so unbalanced. his hands were all crooked too. But what i notice was, he was the one doing most of the work. He was even writing with those hands.

I think about the many times i feel like i'm doing too much, or the other times where I feel so insecure about those things I've been struggling to overcome ever since God knows when... My heart really went out to him.

Sometimes I think they should be the ones who deserve the normal hands.

Anw, here are some of the things that made today a happy day. Tho i accidentally made an extra slit below my packaging and its gonna cost me another RM13 tomorrow.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYBODY!

Lately every night before i go to bed, I'd run through the whole day in my head and try to pick out all the good things that happened. I find that everyday, even during bad days, there are still good things; in every person i meet, even if i do not know that person well, if i reflect hard enough, there are always good memories that brought us together. It lifts me up every time i list them out. I guess sometimes we just have to be grateful, even for the smallest littlest blessings... it all came out of someone's heart. :)

I really have got so much so much to thank God for. For my salvation, my family, my friends, for sunshine, for rain that taught me how to appreciate, for love, for joy... and just life itself.

I have truly been so blessed!! ))

today was one heck of an awesome day. Started off with a good 6am prayer session. it didn't feel that bad waking up so early today for some reason. :) slept for an hour after it ended and woke up to a bowl of my favorite atap ge kueh chap))) and i guess the nex great thing happen. i went to class and was amazed at how i wasn't upset or whatsoever when i saw a note my lecturer left at the door saying tutorials were cancelled and we could just go see him in his office. that was great cuz i can do more stuff at home. :p so went over to dads office for a while. It was great cuz i finished some work and the best thing was. I had some nangka aunty Nora brought over. heheh. And then after that i had my favorite kompias from Fat Cat. I swear that was the highlight of my entire day. I've been craving for it ever since last night.)))

Went home to finish off more work. It was sooo cold in my room i actually thought it was raining outside. So i wore tights and a cardigan. And the moment i stepped out of the door i felt like an idiot. Like an Eskimo all dressed up in hedge ee elle elle. haha but anw, went to meet Emman and Crystal in the afternoon. Had quite a great time catching up. Everythings just almost the same except we're talking about job prospects and investments now. #allgrownup how i miss those times when we were always up to planning our movie days to watch movies like Alvin and the Chipmunks 2 or birthday surprises with super duper creative cakes together. good times good times.

oh and did i tell you i tried macaroons for the first time ever in my life? #late

Well i don't even know why i'm feeling so calm typing this. I actually kinda have a submission & a presentation tomorrow. I've still got about 20% of my slides left. i guess thats meant for tomorrow morning. Cant wait for tomorrow to be over, i'll be almost a free bird. :)

Always have a THING for weddings. I often get that really weird feeling rushing from my head to my toe every time i attend weddings. I don't really know how to describe it and why. but i guess it just really overwhelming especially when the bride walks down the aisle on the arm of her father, and when the couple exchange vows. you know, that very moment you commit yourself to love, which is almost the worlds most complicated word.

So.. i guess i've expected this wedding for more than half a decade now. They've been dating ever since high school ended, which has been 10 years. So impressive)))

This is one of the assignments i actually enjoy a lot. Realize i'm actually really into publication, as its mostly about playing with typography. which i really like a lot. :)

So for this assignment, we were supposed to choose a topic and create a 8-page magazine about it. i wanted to do something which would allow me to go outdoors instead of just facing the computer drawing with my mouse. So i decided to do something street-art-ish, adding art to the dead things around us. except, using chalks. Had Heli and Rach running drawing/vandalising all over Reservior Park with me. Quite a fun experience although i wish the weather wasn't that hot so that we could probably spend more time......but oh well, here are some pictures. :)

Tiring week for me, in and out of the hospital everyday almost for a week now. But i'm glad mom is recovering without complications.

Got to read and sort myself out a lot as i had quite a few good alone times. Observing people and forming questions in my head. Yea, sometimes its true that you have to stop painting and step back every now and then, and look at your painting one feet away, it makes it easier for you to point out your mistakes.

And Crys and I were talking as we were falling asleep last night. Realize its only less than 2 months left before the new year comes. Nothing happens without a reason. You may see it as if the worst things are happening, but i guess i'm beginning to see the good things that are coming out from them. The bad times gave me a new pair of eyes :)

I know i have grown, in one way or another. and I am happy. Well of course, I should never be satisfied with the best. or i'll be blinded and stuck with the best. It does not end there.

Here are some of the fun stuffs i have been up to besides school this week. :) Pretty happy with life here. Its so easy to get around. and to keep in touch with people.. School has been fun. Kind of happy i i have a bunch of wonderful friends who are going through the same mental tortures with me. :p Also i get so much good food here. Been eating 4 meals a day, makes me happy. :)

so today Abby and I had to scout for cupcakes, to photograph them for our website design. And whats interesting was, it was sooo hard to find decent pretty cupcakes in Kch. I went to four different bakeries before i eventually found some at Lof. (well, maybe it was my mistake going to mita taka and all those lah...) hahah so as a result, we kinda had late lunch. And we were late for class. And its so weird how my lecturer is always late when i'm early, and when early when i'm late. And... #igotmynextbrief #slowclaps on the +side, we had cupcakes to eat after class today :)

Lyn, Siaw Ping and Janice came alonggg. had lunch at Chicking for the second time this week, and its not even friday yet. Lemon Chicken there is awesome. i like. :) Oh and i got to know Swinburne's prom is next month! I'm a lil excited for it since i've never ever been to one. And Lyn has started picking clothes for us to buy already. #evenmoreexcited! :)

so we're officially in the middle of another week. 2011 seem to be zooming before my eyes at 100 m.p.s. Im back to sch, doing my second half of the semester, one more week til November. wow

Tonight i had to tell my homework to wait.

because.

I had to watch 3 Metres Above the Sky. Saw a review on my friends blog, and youtubed it a lil. That was all it took to get me hooked. Officially the best best romance movie i've ever watched. So well expressed, favourite memories, happiest moments.

Sometimes things are not as it seems, Sometimes the best things in life come to you in its worst, an its only for you to look pass the flaws to find the beauty that no one else sees. Sometimes you have to fight through the worst times to deserve the best.

Sometimes i think of memories as one of the most powerless thing ever. No matter how much memories you have made, when a person leaves, it leaves with him/her, its gone. It is not something you can count on.

Life is full of surprises. Sometimes you just have to be patient with your tomorrows, and let them surprise you one day at a time, like waking up to christmas every morning. :)

hello.

have been busy busy bee. im on my midsem break now, well actually its kind of over already since its friday. i had more of a familyfamily week. so many things going on but im glad to be standing with them through both good and bad. My plan to enjoy Goguma and Running Man with Crys kinda failed. and I didnt even have much time to finish my work. didnt even get half of what i'm supposed to do done. But that doesnt matter.

This week i washed my hair with Olive Oil twice. Just to prove how much i love my hair.

This week i had durian ice kacang TWICE.

But it was amazing to see how the sadest thing brought along sooo many great and happy things. ive been overwhelmed with so much love and generousity. i'm so thankful for all the prayers, thoughts and gifts from different ones. I feel sooo blessed myself, i cant imagine how my mom feels. That could be where she got all her strength from. :)

Most exciting time of my life. I am so impressed by how September has been fixing August so well. I am finally getting answers, things are getting so much clearer for me now.

I guess it really boils down to how desperate you are for a change, how much you want it. Many times we dont realize that we are subtly giving up what we want and love most for things that dont matter at all. Things that we know we dont want, but yet continue fighting ourselves just to show and prove ourselves how strong we are.

My heart is smiling like the sun and i can hear it singing over me about how glad it is to see me getting up again. I can't tell you how it feels to be an overcomer. Without being put in the impact zone, i wouldnt have got a chance to see what i have inside of me. I would go through everything again, just for this one experience. I wouldnt have learn/see things this way without breaking. And no, God doesn't make promises He cant keep. You just gonna wait for His time.

I find that i am able to embrace so much more than i have ever been able to. I feel so good to be able to open my heart up to so many new things again. I have been sooo happy. I will put up pictures of the things ive been busy with lately probably soon! :)

I watched Soul Surfers last night. I could totally relate to it. There is so much a person can do with determination and with God. Everyone is made a superhero. :)

i still have work to do and besides missing couz camp, i've got so many reasons to be happy. Last night i invited mich over for an owl-session. the nerd way. but we did get to talk quite alot too. thankful for these rare times :)

The late night talk with Andrea last night felt like the answer to one of those things i've been thinking about lately. She was telling me about how we should never toughen ourselves up too much. Cuz when we get too tough we tend to shut ourselves up to many things and thats when we become unteachable. And God can only mould a soft clay. We would be stuck with what we think we can do if we dont let God show us what we have not perceived or imagine. Its so true.

Today was one heck of a long day. but it was a good one nonetheless. woke up to a wonderful weather. Presentation went so well. The first presentation where i can actually just be myself. Well my voice still went all high pitched but. my thoughts did flow quite well :) I'm so thankful. Tonight i went dinner after class with Shirlyn and Crys. Stopped by Crys' and thats when i got to try her mom's/most awesome gong piaaa. seriously dood. IT.IS.THE.BEST! I found the second best butter prawns in Kuching! And its so afordable for a student! RM6 for butter prawns with rice... gooood dealllll. i need to gain back some weight . (at the right places please :( )

havent done any work tonighttt. too tired. hopefully after lunch tomorrow. :/ i need to get into the mode soon or it'll be as good as subtly killing myself. Kay i shall leave this page with an amazing songggggggg. Loved her the first time i heard her :)

FACT- i have not got to sleep in more than once this week.

it has only been the second week of classes and the lecturers are going full blast on their torture scheme already. Its as if every design lecturer has a plot to kill their students. hekhekhek. The other day one of my lecturer told us there will be presentation so i kinda all-nighted that assignment. and guess what the next day he smiled and told us that it was actually nothing, it was just to get us started. hahah very cool yes.

well, had quite a happy weekend. went to join the Legacy collegers to celebrate mooncake festival on thursday night. which we were 3 days late! but it was great however. I brought lyn along! :)

I loved what samson shared about each of us being/having the light of God in us. Many times we forget we have the light of God, especially when we are faced with different trying situations. we forget to involve God. And its like searching for something in the dark. Bumping into so many things before we eventually find it. If only we would just turn it on.... we wont even need to find.

watched Johnny English yesterday! i enjoy and at the same time get annoyed by his face. i mean, his eyebrows. He's lucky cuz he's dumb in a funny way. hahaha And i also enjoyed the Malaysia Day Celebration yesterday night. I am always somehow filled with gladness when i see Christians coming together and worshipping the same Jesus :) and oh, i'm done with my 40 days coke fast! God has been so faithful and real. :)

Went to scout for art materials today. It made a huge hole in my pocket! ogosh. Then later i brought He Li and Shirlyn for durian iceeee. I succeeded in impressing people again!!! yaaay.

I had a good weekend. :D It all started from my first hang out with my new classmate. went to get art materials for typo class together and brought her to my home after and watch Parents Trap together. always love meeting and getting to know new people. :) Then i had youth followed by a really inspiring dinner with Pastor Roy and aunty Lila. They are my new role models. So inspired by their lives.

You know they really have got something most people dont have. Okay just imagine the most respected man of a company serving, cleaning up, washing dishes after a company dinner?

No you can't.

Think about it, there has to be something that drives them to do what they are doing day after day. and no, it is not money. It must be a higher power, which is even more powerful than money itself. Something out of this world, yet real. its really motivating to be around people like this, they really get me getting excited about living an extraordinary life. Its really more than just about yourself.

Today was good. i mean, i got my durian ice after church together with Sam, Daniel and Justin and, i've got my brother back, along with new clothes from my sister! what a girl ~~needs~~

kay, back to homework and its awesomeness.

no, nothing has changed about not wanting to die a fat lady.

i'm about to sleep with a bloated tummy tonight, yet still thinking about food. this is the other thing i'm fighting with everyday in Kuching. its like the only thing you can do when you hang out, is eat. and when i'm home, i can never leave the fridge alone. there's this magnet, you know, if only Daim wasnt the best chocolate ever?and if i didnt have any in my fridge. :p sometimes i just wish that talking about exercising or just feeling guilty about eating is a form or exercise. i would be doing very well. :)

have been having pretty good days. i mean, there are crappy nights, but i've always got external forces coming around to give me jumpstarts. so much love going around. i thank God those nights i just feel like killing everyone around me didnt work out. somehow. :p

First week studying back home in my new uni. i havent fail to leave a class without homework yet. feeling the raindropsss, and that kind of means that the rain is coming. runnnn. oh well its not bad at all, im actually loving how the people are so friendly here. Makes it so easy to settle down. I like school. :) well ive got to learn how to stop giving in to everything else apart from homework. Kuching why you so fun?

Today i finally know how it feels to win a lottery. went to the Banana Fritters stall at Carpenter Street and im guessing it was their grandfather's birthday so they decided to work haha so crys ben and i got our kinchio kueh. which was right after lunch. #sinful. was this close to being late for class but apparently it meant nothing to my lecturer he postponed the first class of the semester for the second time. oh well. haha

oh and i got myself a diary today! gonna start writing again so that another day will come by when i get to dig it out and read about how strong i was. ;p

finding beauty in preservereance

So its already September.
August was definitely not an easy month, in fact, it was one of the months i would not want to go through if i had a choice.

Well, going through this month fighting with myself almost daily brought me back again and again to the story of the two people i not only love very much, but also the two people i most respect- how they struggled through those days raising up a family of 10.

I remember my mom telling me how my grandpa would come back some nights in blood-stain clothes after dealing with nasty customers, as a bus driver. And thats just one of the nights besides his half of his shop burnt by fire, and the 7 miscarriages my grandmother went through before having their first child. It makes me wonder, if the things i am going through now are even just 10% as bad as any of those 3.

I guess the easy life this generation gets has caused alot of us to lack endurance. We dont know how to appreciate cuz we've never get things hard. So what if you can't cope when the course? Change course! Find something easier! It is so hard for people nowadays to pull through even the simplest things. They don't know what it means to try, and how to fight for what they want. And some dont even know what they want.

Well, It is always easier to give up than to try. It is always easier to hate than to forgive. It is always easier complain than to act. It is always easier to quit than to persevere.

Truth is, you will always be settling for less. And you will never know what you could be missing out on.

with all my heart, i am now a big fan of REBECCA BLACK.

and no, not because of the songs, but because of what she is made of. i mean, with the experience of the worst cyber bully any other 13 year could ever experience, and being able to pick herself up again, just in a matter of months. she must have knew what she really want to not let it stop her from pursuing her dreams. i'm supposed to be planning my slides and my thoughts for tomorrow's presentation but instead i'm on this page. i'm back from a wonderful one week break in my hometown. Kuching is always so fun and eventful during the holidays! Fun beats sleep mans. i had a wonderful time. and now i'm back in KL getting over my final week. :) havent got the chance to miss home/fun this week. been so busy and occupied. (i guess its a good thing)

anw while doing work this week, i came across some of hilary duff's wedding pictures and fell crazy in love with her gown and her hair. i used to want shania twain's hair for my wedding, now i'm indecisive. hope i'm rich enough next time to hold two wedding receptions so that i can have both :P heehee.

so i am home! after almost 4 months. i'm counting my blessings, this trip has to be a blessing. air tickets were just as cheap as....bus tickets. no kidding. so thankful to be back home again. with all the close ones around. went to visit my gramps ytd both paternal and maternal. i can't tell you how happy i am to see them again, well and healthy. truly thankful for my family :)

went for dinner with gav last night at merdeka palace. that place will always remind me about piano exams. anyhoos, it was my first time dining at the italian restaurant, and i must say, i loved the atmosphere. :) i wore my lace/pleated dress, chiffon makes everything just relax-y and cool.

today i spent my day with alot of games. went to the cyber cafe with gav dex and justy after bfast. learnt a new game- Age of Empires. and in the after had a Hotel 626 time after a whole bakeful afternoon. hehehe and not to forget that Counterstrike is now in my life. thanks to Jon, Andrew, Ben, Ken and Andrea. hahaha mann i hope i wont get too much into this lifestyle. lool

i'm truly thankful.

Janet and I went to Bangsar yesterday, with the intention to take some pictures for our assignments. Had quite a good day just relaxing, walking through the rows of boutiques. There's just so much to look at! Love how Bangsar is. almost every cafe and boutique is so well designed so artsy farty. all we needed was good weather.

played dress up a little bit. finally able to fit into the high waisted shorts my sister bought 6 months ago! i like it when i'm dressed up, it lifts my whole mood up. and i dont feel so lazy. :)

Julys on its wayyy! can't wait for the semester break. excited to be done with work!!!

So Gav finally camee! after 6 monthss!! :) and i finally got a chance to wear my tutu dress! since i havent actually been going out and having alot of fun recently. it has been work work work work work and work and. work. anwyay, Been into dresses lately. i find it so much easier to put on a dress than to match tops and bottoms. and and my hairs so long now. i kinda trimmed the ends by myself a little bit today. to make myself feel a little better about not cutting it for almost 5 months now.

can't wait to go home next monday! the house here now is too quiet i am feeling so weird about it. i miss everybody moving in and out of the room every now and then. but before thinking about home........i kinda have a whole lot of work to finish off first. aaa can't wait for the semester to end!

i must have been really tired to dream of my brother hiring a maid to help him out here. beeen soooo beyond busy, the word busy itself is not even enough to describe the load i have on my shoulders, the traffic in my head. my room is kind of unkept, hardly able to gather enough time to do my laundry, and to cook, i rather grab those opportunities to take a short nap or something.

but to tell you the truth, i can't imagine my life without art and design now. i have grown to love it and i mean, everything that comes with it - brainstroming, late nights, thirsty brains.. oh i have also developed a really strong bond with my laptop. its been more than a friend to me. last thing i see before i end my day first thing i see when i open my eyes.

but that doesn't mean i don't need a break now...

i need strength.

today i discovered the b&w holga effect on my phone. as a result, i couldnt stop taking photos hahaaa loving this app! today i ran out of pants/shorts to wear as i havent been doing my laundry for way too long so i'm dressed for winter.no, i mean. aircond room. in malaysia especially when you can actually melt if you stand outdoor long enough nowadays lol today i had moral test. which took us only 4 minutes. 15 minutes after the test started, the auditorium was empty. #moraltest today i had durian puff again!!! #sinful tonight i've got lots to do so i'll probably take a nap naooo.

hello, to those who actually still reads my blog.

i finally get to say that i'm done with this assignment. 99% done, i'm still left with the template of my envelope but i'm too lazy to fix it right now. been spending my days in uni, home and taylor's study room most of the time for the past 4 weeks. its been really draining my energy and robbing me off my sleep but if i were to look back and tell you how i feel about it now, i would say that its all worth it. and God has been so good to me despite it all. He has really been with me!

Have been working closely with one of my coursemates and i must tell you that its so much more motivating working with someone rather than stressing alone. its really encouraging sometimes especially during those days when i force myself to get out of the house to do more work at night. having a friend really helps. :)

okayyy i'm done. i've just got to say it. i'm done i'm done with assignment 1. :) anyway here are some pics i took of my photobooth props! some of the lil fun moments. and i'll post pics of the other items after i get them all printed and my presentation on monday.

cut my bangs the other day. as much as i tried to fight for long fringe, it was just getting too long and annoying. it was actually reachng my lips already. well, i'm kinda happy with how this is looking too!

so i've finally got a royal wedding in my time to tell my children in the future. i've been soooo in love with everything about the wedding ever since i watched it on Friday. Kate was sooo beautiful! EVERY little detail of the wedding was just perfect! It was everything any girl would wish for. :')

I have always adored the royal family ever since my teenage years, the late princess diana, and the two young princes. and also, i have a strange love for princess-y stuff. eg tiara's and such.

i have been so excited about the wedding! and when Friday finally came, i started streaming live on cnn since 2. and i was on it for 5 hours. So many thoughts ran through my mind as i watched it. Wondered how things Kate felt the night before, how Prince William would die to have this mother at his wedding, how charles and camilla felt listening to the vows, and the many things that are going to change and happen in their life. oh and did i tell you how i am reallly loving all the hats worn to the wedding? it was like a fashion show i tell you.

SO OVERWHELMING.

I have been watching videos of the royal family like everyday since Friday: Prince Charles and Princess Diana's Wedding, Charles' and Camilla's, and watching different parts of Prince William and Kate's wedding over and over again.
